Hi there fellow believers in Christ! This is the 3rd article I am writing on the same topic and still stuck to the unforgiveness. I have seen a small video from Impact Christian Ministries, I am sharing the link as it served as a practical guide as well as a go to reference for my sin of Unforgiveness.

When we fail to extend forgiveness, we risk becoming entangled in a cycle of bitterness and resentment, hindering our ability to experience the fullness of God’s love and mercy. Emotional and Spiritual Burden: Refusing to forgive others or ourselves can weigh heavily on our hearts, causing emotional pain and spiritual stagnation. This burden can hinder our ability to experience the joy and freedom found in Christ (Galatians 5:1 NLT).

Choosing to forgive has numerous benefits for our spiritual lives, including:

The Enemy’s Tactics

The enemy often exploits our struggles with unforgiveness, seeking to entrap us in a cycle of resentment and bitterness:

Fueling Anger and Resentment: Satan may attempt to fuel our anger, convincing us that holding onto grudges is justified or necessary, further isolating us from God’s love (Ephesians 4:26-27 NLT).

Distorting Our Perception: The enemy can distort our understanding of forgiveness, leading us to believe that letting go equates to weakness or implies that the hurt we experienced was insignificant.

The Power of God’s Grace in Forgiveness

God’s grace is essential in our journey towards forgiveness:

Divine Empowerment: Through His Spirit, God empowers us to extend forgiveness even in challenging circumstances, providing the strength and wisdom we need to let go of past hurts (2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT).

Devote consistent time to prayer, listening for God’s voice, and meditating on Scripture (Joshua 1:8 NLT). By seeking the Lord’s guidance and immersing ourselves in His Word, we create space for the Spirit to transform and guide us.

Obedience is a cornerstone of spiritual sensitivity, as it demonstrates our trust in God and alignment with His will (John 14:23 NLT). By actively choosing obedience, we attune our hearts to the Spirit’s leading, fostering a greater awareness of His guidance.

1. Samuel (1 Samuel 3:1-10 NLT)

As a young boy, Samuel ministered under the guidance of Eli, the priest. One night, Samuel heard a voice calling his name but mistook it for Eli’s. After being instructed by Eli to respond, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening,” Samuel recognized God’s voice and received a message concerning Eli’s household. This event marked the beginning of Samuel’s prophetic ministry and demonstrated his sensitivity to the voice of God.

2. Elijah (1 Kings 18:41-46 NLT)

After a dramatic showdown with the prophets of Baal, Elijah entered a time of discouragement and exhaustion. Fleeing to Mount Sinai, he encountered God in a gentle whisper, rather than the powerful manifestations he might have expected. Elijah’s spiritual sensitivity enabled him to discern God’s voice in the silence, reminding us that the Spirit’s guidance may come in unexpected ways.

3. Mary (Luke 1:26-38 NLT)

When the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, announcing she would bear the Son of God, she responded with faith and trust. Her example encourages us to embrace the Spirit’s guidance, even when it leads us down unexpected paths.

4. Paul (Acts 16:6-10 NLT)

During Paul’s second missionary journey, he planned to preach in Asia but was prevented by the Holy Spirit. Instead, he received a vision of a Macedonian man pleading for help, prompting him to travel to Macedonia. By remaining sensitive to the Spirit’s guidance, Paul played a pivotal role in spreading the Gospel and establishing churches throughout the ancient world.

Story Time

Once upon a time, in a small village nestled amidst mountains and green pastures, there lived a young boy named David. He grew up attending Sunday school and partaking in heartfelt prayers, but as David grew older, he began to feel restless. The world outside his small village called to him, and he longed for adventure and freedom.

One day, David decided to leave his village and venture into the world, determined to create his own path. As he explored new lands and encountered different people, David gradually drifted away from the teachings of God’s kingdom. He stopped praying and turned a deaf ear to the whispers of the Holy Spirit. David became rebellious, seeking pleasure and validation from the world around him.

However, despite David’s disobedience, God never ceased to shower him with love and mercy. Time and time again, God sent people into David’s life who reminded him of his roots and the faith he had once cherished. He encountered strangers who shared their testimonies and friends who prayed for his return to God’s kingdom.

One fateful day, David found himself lost and alone in the midst of a storm. The wind howled, and the rain poured, drenching him to the bone. Feeling helpless and afraid, David cried out, “God, if you are real, please save me from this storm! I have been foolish and disobedient, but I beg for your mercy.” In that moment, a gentle warmth enveloped him, and the storm began to subside.

David was astonished at the grace and mercy God had shown him, even in his rebellion. He realized that God had never stopped pursuing him and had been present throughout his journey, waiting for him to return. With tears streaming down his face, David repented and rededicated his life to God.

Upon returning to his village, David was welcomed with open arms and loving hearts. He spent the rest of his days sharing his testimony of God’s never-ending love and mercy, touching the lives of countless people who had strayed from God’s kingdom. David’s life was a powerful reminder that no matter how far we wander from God, His love and faithfulness are everlasting, and His arms are always open to welcome us back home.

In our daily lives as Christians, we often face various challenges and temptations, many of which stem from the devil’s lies. The devil is the master of deceit, and his primary aim is to lead us astray from God’s will and purpose for our lives. This blog post will explore the common lies that the devil uses to manipulate us and provide insights on how to safeguard our Christian walk.

The Lies of the Devil

1. You’re Not Good Enough

One of the most common lies that the devil whispers in our ears is that we are not good enough for God’s love and grace. He instills feelings of unworthiness and inferiority, which can hinder our relationship with God and our ability to fulfill His purposes for our lives.

2. Your Sins Are Unforgivable

Another lie that the devil perpetuates is that our past sins are too great for God’s forgiveness. This lie aims to keep us trapped in guilt and shame, making it difficult for us to experience the freedom and restoration that comes with repentance and the acceptance of God’s forgiveness.

3. God’s Word Is Not Relevant

The devil often tries to convince us that the Bible is outdated and irrelevant in today’s world. By casting doubt on the validity of God’s Word, the devil attempts to erode our faith and hinder our spiritual growth.

4. Your Prayers Go Unanswered

Another common lie is that our prayers are futile and that God does not hear or care about our concerns. The devil uses this deception to discourage us from praying and communicating with God, ultimately weakening our relationship with Him.

The Consequences of Believing the Devil’s Lies

When we listen to and believe the devil’s lies, our spiritual lives can be severely impacted. As we give credence to these falsehoods, we open the door to doubt, fear, and confusion. This can lead to a weakened faith and an inability to fully trust in God’s goodness and faithfulness.

For instance, if we believe the lie that our sins are unforgivable, we may struggle with feelings of guilt and shame that hinder our relationship with God. This can create a barrier that prevents us from experiencing the joy and freedom found in His forgiveness and grace. The Bible warns of the dangers of believing lies in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10: “The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing.”

When we entertain the devil’s lies about God’s Word being irrelevant, we are more likely to neglect reading the Bible and seeking guidance from its teachings. This leaves us vulnerable to further deception and makes it challenging to discern truth from falsehood. Hosea 4:6 warns, “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.”

If we believe the lie that our prayers go unanswered, we may become discouraged and abandon our prayer life altogether. As a result, we miss out on the blessings and protection that come from consistent communication with God (James 5:16).

Protecting Your Christian Walk

To safeguard our Christian walk against the devil’s lies, we must remain vigilant and grounded in God’s truth. Here are some practical steps we can take:

1. Embrace God’s Love and Grace

Understand and accept that God’s love and grace are not contingent on our performance or perfection. By embracing this truth, we can counteract the devil’s lies about our worthiness and identity in Christ.

2. Accept Forgiveness and Repentance

Recognize that God’s forgiveness is all-encompassing and that no sin is too great for Him to forgive. Repentance and the acceptance of God’s forgiveness are essential to overcoming the devil’s lies about the unforgivable nature of our sins.

3. Meditate on God’s Word

Develop a consistent habit of reading and studying the Bible. This practice equips us with the truth necessary to discern and refute the devil’s lies, fostering spiritual growth and a deeper relationship with God.

4. Persist in Prayer

Prayer is a powerful tool that connects us to God and provides a means of seeking guidance, strength, and protection from spiritual attacks. By maintaining a consistent prayer life, we demonstrate our faith in God’s willingness and ability to hear and respond to our petitions.

First, we must immerse ourselves in Scripture, as it is the ultimate source of truth. In John 8:32, Jesus says, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” By studying and meditating on God’s Word, we can discern the devil’s lies and replace them with the life-giving truth of the Gospel.

Second, we must rely on the guidance and discernment provided by the Holy Spirit. In 1 John 4:1, we are encouraged to “test the spirits to see whether they are from God.” Through the Spirit’s presence and power, we can recognize the devil’s lies and resist the temptation to believe them.

Finally, we must actively engage in Christian fellowship to support one another in our pursuit of truth. Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us that “a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” When we surround ourselves with believers who can provide encouragement, accountability, and prayer support, we are better equipped to withstand the devil’s attacks and remain steadfast in our faith.

Hi there fellow believers in Christ! I’d like to share a profound experience I had through a dream that has significantly impacted my understanding of my role in God’s Kingdom. Growing up, I often felt insignificant, yet I deeply desired to do something meaningful and impactful. My Christian brothers encouraged me by introducing the concept of prophetic dreams, which led me to recall a vivid dream I had previously dismissed.

In the dream, I found myself in a beautiful place filled with joy and gratitude towards God. I wanted to be a part of this community and approached the manager of the place who appeared like a  lawyer, who resembled the actor Surya, asking if I could contribute and live there. He suggested we first explore the building together before discussing further.

The ground floor was expansive and vast, with numerous empty spaces that seemed to serve specific purposes. As we ascended to the first floor, the manager revealed that the entire building belonged to me, asking if I was ready to take it. Overwhelmed and feeling undeserving, I declined, saying that the people deserved it more, and I would be grateful to have just a small room near the stairway on the first floor. The manager smiled and insisted I at least see the rest of the building.

Each floor appeared to multiply the number of rooms, making the building seem infinitely vast. I remained firm in my decision to accept only the small room, believing that others were more deserving. The third image I saw a small rock surrounded by sand, which upon closer inspection appeared to be quicksand. The size of the rock varied, sometimes appearing small that barely one person can stand on it, and other times manifesting as a huge, flat rock capable of supporting many people.

These images have provided me with some insight into my role within God’s Kingdom and serve as a source of guidance and reflection as I continue to seek His will for my life.

As I pondered my role in God’s vision, I questioned why the vision seemed so grand and unachievable. I wondered if I could start by focusing on a smaller aspect that I felt capable of handling now.
