Who We are

About me

Hi Brother/Sister,

I am Stephen J. Daniel, but people affectionately call me Steve. I am from Chennai, a city in India. I have been thinking and praying about how I could be of any use in His Kingdom. God has given me a vision for His Kingdom, but it feels far too unreachable through my own efforts. Hence, I am just doing my part and hoping God can use me for His Kingdom. I am not good at singing in worship, nor do I have the command of the language to preach. I felt useless in ministry. Lately, God has been speaking to me through my close ones, encouraging me to write. By God’s grace, I can articulate better when I write. It may not be the best, but it’s something I can start with. “Then the Lord said to me, ‘Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.'” (Habakkuk 2:2, NLT)

I was born and brought up in a Catholic home. My grandparents were passionate about their beliefs, and I thank God for giving them to me. They ensured I had a good foundation in my faith. I accepted Christ as my personal Saviour when I was 21, and I identify as non-denominational. My reason is that Jesus came to earth so we could have a personal relationship with Father God through His Son, Jesus Christ, and through this, we receive the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Jesus wasn’t focused on religion but on loving everyone as ourselves. “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.” (1 Corinthians 12:27, NLT) I don’t undermine the need for a church. I believe the church is the Body of Christ, and God designed us humans to be part of it. I thank God for many things, and one of the most important is the church.

Why Our Shared Faith

I have noticed a gap in the availability of good Christian articles, guidelines, and help for young and new believers. When I accepted Christ, I fell into the Faith Life Movement, prosperity preaching, and biblical verses taken out of context. It was a trap that never let me grow. “I was drinking milk in Apostle Paul’s terms and never grew up to eat meat. Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.” (Hebrews 5:14, NLT) God allows us a period of drinking milk, but we also need to grow to fully enjoy what He has for us. The articles that are easily available are mostly advanced theology. In a world of short attention spans, there are too many distractions. YouVersion, BibleProject, and ImpactVideoMinistries are some sites helping many people in their Christian journey. I was inspired to create this site not to compete with them but to complement them.

Our Journey So Far

I have reached out to many believers, and many believers have reached out to me to contribute. I see this as purely God’s grace. It has been two months since I started the website, and looking at the results is slightly discouraging. When I prayed about it, God nudged me with a question: Am I doing all this for my glory or His glory? Though I started with good intentions, pride sneaked into me. I confessed immediately and, with humility, apologized to God. “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” (1 John 1:9, NLT) He is gracious to take me back with all my imperfections.

Challenges

I have been reaching out to people who like to write or contribute in any way. I have faced judgmental opinions, busy people, and outright rejections. People who knew me earlier still see me the same way. They think I am not capable of doing anything without expecting something in return. I don’t expect them to have a different opinion; I deserve their opinions. Honestly, I would have done the same if I were them. We live in a judgmental world, so it’s alright. But let me tell you about someone who is so loving and kind and who honours even the tiny things we do—our Father in Heaven. If you are like me, as a brother in Christ, all I say is go to God. He will heal you and make your burdens vanish. “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” (1 Peter 5:7, NLT)

Monetization

Everything on the site will be free. Freely we have received, and freely we give. “Give as freely as you have received!” (Matthew 10:8, NLT) Merchants don’t deserve a place in His temple. “Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out all the people buying and selling animals for sacrifice. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves.” (Matthew 21:12, NLT) We are not against people getting paid for their labour; we are only against commercialization. God and His words are the most valuable, yet we receive them for free. We also don’t have anything against Christians who charge for their services. If God has given them gifts and a way to earn an honourable living, we highly appreciate their works. We don’t host any licensable content, and all of the images are copyright-free. We attribute all those to the original owners. We add external links, articles, images, audio, and video files with attribution to the original owners.

Testimony

When I started writing, I was able to write very little. There were too many hesitations. I was afraid of taking biblical verses out of context and scared of criticism. But by God’s grace and encouragement from close ones, I have been able to write more confidently. I am able to write about 2-3 topics everyday and publish one. And my language has improved. I am leaving my old posts because people who can see how someone with such a poor command of language can write better now. With humility, I want to point only to God. It’s His doing.
